Jose Soto, B.A, ACE CPT,  is a strength and conditioning coach, personal trainer and motivational speaker. His mission is to educate, empower, and lead others towards sustainable success in fitness, health, and life through a Mindset First approach which is guided by his Christian faith.  He is the founder, owner and operator of the NJ HIIT training facility in North Arlington, NJ, a fitness center that provides personal training, group strength and conditioning, boxing, yoga, nutrition, body composition and sustainable health services.  


He is a Certified Personal Trainer and Sports Conditioning Specialist through the American Council on Exercise, a Crossfit Level-1 Coach, and a kettlebell instructor trained by Strong First.  In 2017 Jose was named Top 100 Men by Mens Health Magazine and is currently an ambassador for lululemon. 


Jose's initial experience with teamwork and motivational leadership was via playing competitive sports growing up in Elizabeth, NJ . After High School Jose fulfilled his childhood dream of enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. With the Marines he was assigned to an artillery unit, but was given the assignment of vehicle commander in a convoy security team with the 1st Marine Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2006-2007. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant in 2009.


It was through the Marine Corps, that Jose learned more about the upmost importance of teamwork, camaraderie and how to achieve personal success through the empowerment and collective effort of a team. This teamwork philosophy acquired through team sports and the Marine Corps was then integrated as the core philosophy at NJ HIIT: "Personal Success Through Group Empowerment".

Through NJ HIIT, Jose and his team of coaches and staff members provide their amazing members of everyday athletes with group fitness programs, one-on-one personal coaching, small group training, sports specific programs, nutritional guidance and other health and fitness related services. . The 7,700sq facility is also the official location of the NJ HIIT New Jersey Firefighter Candidate Physical Performance Test practice facility where Jose and other firefighters assist firefighter recruits in preparing for the NJ Firefighter physical fitness entry exam (PPT). 

Jose has also been serving as a professional Firefighter with the Millburn Fire Department for over 9 years. He has conducted various physical fitness instructions at NJ Fire Academies and is currently NJ HIIT's Police & Fire Candidate Coach where he trains  both state and local Police and Fire prospective candidates to achieve a greater score in their entry level physical fitness exams.

Jose resides in New Jersey with his wife Denisse, their daughter Ava, and their English Bulldog Bongo.
