Momentum Mondays!

Good morning!!!! It's a Monday, and that means one thing: Set the pace, build momentum!

 

By definition, momentum means "the strength or force that something has when it is moving" as well as "the strength or force that allows something to continue or to grow stronger or faster as time passes." 

 

Today is the day that sets the pace for the rest of the week. To have a productive and great week, you have to start by making sure your Mondays are squared away in every aspect. From the moment you wake up to the time you go back to sleep and everything in between, you have to make sure your mindset is targeting and locked on success. 

 

Let's say you wake up and the first thing you are thinking about is how much it sucks to get up early or how you don't want to go to work, how the commute is so annoying, etc. You are already setting that negative tone for the rest of the day, and I can guarantee you the rest of the week will be just as bad. If you do this on a Monday, chances are you will do it on a Tuesday and so forth. This mindset makes you (metaphorically) a hamster on a wheel where you are just going along with the movement of the day without really going anywhere. 

 

Today is a great day to plan and strategize for success in whatever your endeavors are. What do you want to accomplish today? How can your accomplishments today help you meet personal and professional goals this week? How can this week's achievements help you achieve and exceed personal and professional goals this month? You see, you have to create that momentum today and create it early! 

 

Let's get up early, hit the floor running and aim at winning the day. Rewire your mindset to think productively and positively to accomplish your goals. By the way, I get it, I do! It sucks getting up early sometimes when we had a hectic weekend or when we are cuddled up in bed while it's windy and rainy outside, and our alarm goes off at 4:00 am to get up and get going. However, when that alarm goes off, roll off of the bed, and instead of saying "ugh this sucks" say, "let's go! Let's get it! it's go time!". Sometimes a small change in our mindset and words such as our first "waking up" words can make a significant impact on your energy levels and the rest of the day. 

 

Remember, where your mind goes, energy flows! So start that momentum, think productive and start heading towards your life goals and endeavors. No one is responsible for your success or the lack thereof besides you! 

 

Get Up! Get moving! Get it done!
